A villager saw lights in the sky on Christmas Day, but it was not a guiding star, but a UFO, he claims.

The incident was reported on UFO sightings website, www.ufo-uk.co.uk, on December 28 by a resident called Stephen.

In his report he states he was returning home at around 7.45pm on December 25 when he saw three orange balls travelling very fast from west to east at about 2,000ft.

He said they were travelling in formation but disappeared quickly, before two more followed shortly afterwards. The witness discounted entirely the possibility that the objects were aircraft or Chinese lanterns.
