The leader of Runnymede Council, John Furey, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a crash in Addlestone last month.
Police confirmed this week that Mr Furey, 65, was apprehended after an accident with another car in New Haw Road, around 5.30pm on Sunday, May 16.
He has been released on police bail until July 14 while the police investigation continues.
Virginia Water Art Society will get a talk and demonstration from mouth and foot painter Tom Yeandall when it meets at the Community Centre, Beechmont Avenue, on Wednesday, July 7 at 7.30pm.
Following the talk will be a critique of members' work by member Martin Smith.
The sounds of the 'South' will fill the Community Centre in Beechmont Avenue on Saturday, July 10 when Colin Kingwell's Jazz Bandits provide 'A Night in New Orleans'.
The evening of live music and dancing begins at 7.45pm, with an 8pm start. Admission is ã12 for members, ã15 for non-members, including a southern-style supper. BYO drinks and glasses.

This week is a retirement accommodation and housing open week.
From Monday (June 21) until tomorrow (Friday June 25) the borough's nine housing communities in Addlestone, Chertsey, Egham and Englefield Green opened their doors for afternoon tea.
The event is featuring Hanover Housing Association, the Home Group, Age Concern Runnymede, McCarthy and Stone and Runnymede Borough Council and feature different homes to rent or own in the borough.
Headline act for this month's Comedy in the Green event will be Perrier Award nominee, Terry Alderton.
This month's show on Tuesday, June 22, at the Social Hall in Harvest Road, from 7.45pm onwards. Support will be from Sarah Millican (correct), with MC Rich Wilson.

Elderly residents had to be moved from their flats after a burst boiler flooded a care home.
A boiler on the second floor of Aldwyn Place in Larchwood Drive, Englefield Green, burst at around 11.45pm on Monday, June 7 sending out water at high pressure.
Firefighters from Egham visited the carehome to deal with the flood, which was running down to the ground floor, and turn off the electricity supply.
Two residents of the 56 flat venue, owned by Hanover Housing Association, had to relocated from their flooded premises to guest flats.
Runnymede Borough Council's Englefield Green Committee will meet at the Jurgen Centre, Harvest Road on Tuesday, June 22 at 7pm.
The committee deals with all issues dealing with the village and the green.

A new Rose Garden will open at The Savill Garden, Wick Lane on Monday, June 14 at 10.30am.
The Crown Estate commissioned renowned and highly regarded Andrew Wilson of Wilson McWilliam Associates, to design the garden which takes a contemporary approach to displaying roses.
The 1st Englefield Green Scout Group will hold a car wash on Saturday June 5 from 10am until 1pm in the car park of the Armstrong Gun Pub in Victoria Street.
Payment is by donation and all funds go to the Scout Group.
A subsequent car wash will take place on Saturday July 3, at the same time and place.
